Towards the end of September we took a mini-trip to Pittsburgh for an action packed long weekend. We flew Thursday morning on a direct flight from St. Louis to Pittsburgh. Kate was very well behaved in the airport and on the plane. We weren't sure how it would go now that she's fully mobile. She's not a big fan of being restrained. Or told what to do for long periods of time. Or sitting still. So we knew the potential was there for it to be a long 90 minutes. But she was perfect. Once we landed we drove to Joma's house where we stayed until we left on Sunday. We spent Thursday afternoon and Friday visiting and relaxing, and Friday evening Brandon and I left Kate with my mom and went to my good friend Megan's wedding. It was a lovely ceremony and the reception was a lot of fun, and we had the chance to catch up with some people we hadn't seen in a while. Joma and Kate had a good time at home with out us, and picked some beans from the garden and went for a walk. Saturday we went to visit my dad who was recovering from back surgery. We had a nice time with him and my brothers, then we headed back to my mom's to visit with the Smith family. They brought Kate a cute little bear who we've affectionately named Brucie (in honor of Bruce...very original). We also had time to squeeze in a visit from the Dickerson clan. All in all, it was a really busy, but really nice, visit. And of course, we hardly took any pictures :-(
Here are the two lonely pictures, that we managed to snap during our trip.
-- Only Cera seems to have mastered the art of sitting still. --
-- All the ladies. --
